The biggest perk was the parking; breakfast was tasty and the room was comfortable.
“Warm staff, big, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast, plenty of gardens for a stroll. Perfect stay”
You’re greeted by cheerful reception staff who are happy to accommodate you in any way possible. Warm and welcoming. Massive rooms, beautiful views of the gardens, proper sofa seats and the best shower one can ask for! The freshly cooked breakfast was sumptuous - a lot to choose from and everything was spot on, be it poached eggs or scrambled! Loved the overall ambience. They serviced our rooms daily with fresh towels, clean bathrooms, beds and tables etc. THIS IS NOT YOUR CONVENTIONAL STYLE CITY CENTRE FIVE STAR HOTEL BUT if you’re from the eighties, you will love the vibe. It may be an old establishment but it’s SPOTLESS and beats many new gen hotels with tiny rooms and no views. Will definitely ONLY be staying at Penmere Manor every time I visit Falmouth. Thank you team Penmere Manor. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Can’t think of anything
“Very poor hotel”
Nothing was awful. The hotel was rundown, our room smelled damp, the bathroom was really bad, and the shower was terrible. We had flies and fleas in the room all night. The leisure facilities were terrible: the jacuzzi was filthy, the steam room was rotten with a bad changing area, and the metal old doors on the changing cabinets didn’t work. The shower was very old. We didn’t feel it was value for money. The reception was new, mentioned the damp issue, but offered no refund. I would never stay there again.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the hotel room was comfortable and very clean.
“My stay was not as enjoyable as I had imagined it was going to be.”
I liked the location and the staff’s welcoming attitude. The hotel’s setting was very pleasant because it was quiet, and the room I was assigned was private, not noisy, and on the edge of the main building. However, the room felt very tired and dated, needing a refresh. Some lights didn’t work at all, and others flickered. There was a musty, old‑person smell in the wardrobe and drawer units, which made me reluctant to store my belongings there. In the dining area, guests had to stand at the entry point and wait to be seated; I couldn’t understand why this was necessary. It would have felt more welcoming if guests could freely choose a table, rather than being given a place to sit after waiting.
