The location is good and the staff communication is friendly, but there was no window, the equipment was outdated and sometimes broken, and the room price was far too high.

The owner’s friendliness is the highlight of the lodging; she is extremely helpful and welcoming. Even though the lodging isn’t in one of the typical Santiago stop cities, it’s still on the route. Meals can be had here at very reasonable prices and the food is excellent. The room could be a bit more tidy, but it serves its purpose.

The lunch I had at that albergue was not bad. However, it was the worst accommodation I’ve had on my Camino route. I didn’t like anything, and for the money I paid… the place was uncomfortable, with pillows and blankets that felt like they came from the 19th century. It was far from the center and any restaurant.

The services are decent. Lady Maria cooks divinely! The bar and restaurant are available to pilgrims from the afternoon until dinner time. The place is really cool.

The concept and architecture are nice; the patio has a large bar area, the neighborhood is safe, and it’s family‑run. Hot water was available. The hostess’s attitude was terrible; she treated non‑Spanish guests rudely (even though they spoke Spanish). This woman has worked too long in what was a lovely physical establishment and should not be hosting. Everything is designed to penny‑pinch, including the lack of mugs or dishes for the coffee machine, so guests probably have to buy from the in‑house bar. The historical EU sockets were particularly unhelpful—only two current EU sockets, and they were about shoulder height on walls away from beds, forcing a precarious setup of balancing a phone on books atop a chair back if your adapter fit. The place was very clean and the staff seemed content with themselves.
