The room stayed quiet and the bathroom was tidy, with a kettle and all the essentials for tea or coffee. The location was convenient, near the station and within walking distance of the city centre, and the owner responded quickly when I mentioned the room issues. However, the layout looked very outdated, and the shower carpet seemed unhygienic—there was a disposable mat instead of a regular one, which felt odd. The main bathroom light was broken, and only one towel was supplied; after I raised this with the owner, both were fixed. Despite the shower being clean, there were spider webs on the ceiling and the duvet was stained. I can't see why this place is listed as 4 stars when it falls far short of that standard. The room felt overpriced for what was offered, and although luggage storage was advertised, I was told my bag would be left unattended in the communal area, so I paid extra to store it elsewhere.
