I only booked the first two nights at Makadal‘Eau and then had to stay elsewhere for a few nights because it was fully booked. I was able to return to my very pleasant room right by the pool for the last nights on Siquijor. You almost feel a family and friendship vibe at Makadal‘Eau, not the impersonal hotel vibe you often find on Siquijor. I arrived with a nasty jellyfish sting that kept inflaming my neck. The reception at Makadal‘Eau not only gave advice but also acted, helping me quickly find the right doctor and pharmacies so I could recover fast. I decided to start a diving course with Marco Polo Divers, which was a big challenge for me. But the pool at Makadal‘Eau is not just a splash pool, it’s designed for proper laps and diving training (the deepest spot is 3m). Makadal‘Eau is tailored for beginners and is definitely worth the gold. By the way, the owner is also a diving instructor and always supported me during my first steps. Maybe one last thing: European standard and very, very clean ;) I’ll definitely come back. Thank you and Makadal‘Eau Team!

“A complete Gem of a find!!!!!”

Everything was perfect. This is by far a complete gem of a hotel to stay out. We liked everything, from the staff, facility, room and the way that they went completely out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasurable.

The owners, their dog and the staff are very friendly. Clean, comfortable and modern rooms. Looks even better in real life than the photo's. Nice swimming pool. We enjoyed our stay here!

“One of the best stays ever!”

We were thrilled with our three‑day stay; the bathroom was spotless and the staff—Sheil, Jelle, Dani, Laura—were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. Their dedication to ensuring a great vacation was evident, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Everything was just perfect.

It was really a wonderful stay. The owner was extremely friendly and the staff delivered excellent service. Breakfast was tasty as well. What impressed me most was the great water pressure shower , a huge plus compared to COCO resort, where the water pressure is quite low. The property is also equipped with solar panels and backup batteries, which is very practical.However, as the resort sits right beside the road, you may hear a bit noise from passing motorcycles and tricycles. It could be disturbing for light sleepers. I would suggest bringing earplugs for a better night’s rest. Highly recommended!
