We adored this spot because it’s close to all the key Somme history sites, and Mr and Mrs Bodelot were extremely welcoming; I especially liked the French farmhouse style in the bedroom and the ability to use the kitchen and garden for an evening picnic. The only downside was that we couldn’t find a place for dinner in the village, so we had to walk into the next one.

A small farmhouse with a tiny apartment, fully equipped, a fresh modest breakfast, and a cozy vibe. When the weather is bad, a lot of dirt gets dragged into the apartment or car, and you have to walk through the meadow to get inside.
