The charming masseria had a beautiful setting and a lovely breakfast with homemade items; we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the close proximity to the charming town of Monopoli. However, the reception was friendly at arrival but the staff were not seen again during our stay, and no one was present when we left. The bathroom could use a renovation.

The location and surroundings were great, but the room felt very small, the breakfast buffet was already empty at 9 am, and it only reopened after we asked.

The property itself is beautiful and tastefully decorated in a style that really suits this masseria, and the staff we met were very friendly. The menu offered on a single day at a package price was also very good. Still, the breakfast required urgent improvement: the service ended early, the self‑serve area had no working coffee machine (only a broken capsule machine), and there was absolutely no staff available to ask for help. The pastries were rock hard and completely inedible, and the entire breakfast buffet looked like it had been there since the previous day—especially the pastries, which were likely even older. While searching for staff, we found the gardener, who kindly called the chef. He was the same gardener who brought us the still‑frozen baked goods. The chef didn’t bother to apologize, but eventually gave us coffee. This kind of situation has never happened to me before. Additionally, minor repairs in the room would be welcome. The value for money is, in my opinion, not justified at all. I regret having to write such a review, because the masseria itself is indeed very beautiful.
