The air conditioning was a simple and effective solution when temperatures hovered around 30 °C, and the homemade jam was delicious. There were no issues.

The host was attentive, the place was quiet, the French breakfast was hearty, and the small studio was spotless and functional.

The hotel was almost in the center of Verdun, within walking distance, and it was very nice staying with a French-speaking family, so a bit of French was necessary. The older guests were friendly and had run a vegetable shop in the building before; the breakfast in the garden was truly French and delightful. In fact, we were surprised by the quality of all the hotels and B7Bs we stayed at; this one was a 1 in the simple yet tasty category. The room also had air conditioning.
