The bathroom was clean and the bed comfortable, and the view of Helsinki from the 11th floor was nice. There was no TV in the room, and some crackheads were smoking meth in a back corner of the building. The area was otherwise cool, with good bars and restaurants nearby. Parking cost 26 € a day, which is steep, but Finland is pricey.

The room was very tidy and completely free of street noise or hotel clatter. It was nice that breakfast ran until 11 a.m. on weekends, so I didn’t have to wake up at dawn. Checking in was a real joke: the small office had two staff members, yet I had to handle the process alone. The system didn’t recognize my daughter’s ID because the 2020s IDs replace the dash with the letter A, and it also demanded her email and a photo of her ID, which is absurd. Several guests struggled at the same time, and we took turns asking the office for help, leaving our personal data on open check‑in terminals—an alarming security risk.

The room was cozy and sound‑proof, so I couldn’t hear neighbors or anyone coming out of the lift, which is rare. I’d recommend it to anyone, and the fact that there are three markets nearby is a huge plus.

The accommodation was clean, the apartments were well equipped, and public transport was generally good. However, the immediate surroundings have a lot of homeless people and junkies.
