The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and offered plenty of variety, with fresh fruit daily, a good range of egg dishes and pancakes. The rooms were quiet and very clean, and housekeeping came by each day. Food in the restaurant was tasty and the staff were friendly, the spa was small but adequate, and there was free, ample parking. Overall it was a pleasant stay in this cosy hotel. My biggest downside was the lack of blackout curtains, which made the rooms very bright, the mattress was already quite firm and the double bed felt a bit small – but that’s a personal preference. The mini‑fridge didn’t work when we arrived and it took two days to get it fixed; after contacting reception again we finally received a working one, which seemed to have been ignored by the first staff member we spoke to. We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, but the balcony was tiny and the room size and facilities were identical to the standard rooms, so I’m not sure what made it “deluxe” or justified the higher price.
