We had one of the best stays of our 12‑day trip here! Abba welcomed us warmly, the breakfast—especially the waffles—was amazing, and the free laundry service that folded our clothes was a thoughtful bonus. We even caught the Northern Lights from our room, which made it perfect.

I stayed at Abba's charming cottage and the owner was absolutely delightful. Everything was perfect: great service, friendly staff, and a location ideal for Iceland's Route 1 on a lovely farm. Breakfast was extraordinary, made by Abba with natural farm products and her hens' eggs—homemade and incredibly tasty. We loved everything there; it was a truly amazing experience and we would definitely return. The room was spacious, fully equipped with a bathroom and kitchen, and everything you could need was provided. We will come back for sure and recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland—Abba's farm is a must‑stop, and her dog welcomed us warmly. This was our favorite stay in Iceland, without doubt. Everything we liked was great.

Vriendelijke host en een top ontbijt. Kamers zijn ruim en heel netjes. Kan gebruik maken van de keuken en was word gratis door de host gedaan, echt een top service. We hebben genoten en raden deze plek zeker aan. Ook het restaurant twee km verderop is een aanrader. (Þorgrímur Restaurant)

I was absolutely thrilled; the farm was stunning and cozy. The host, Abba, treated us like family and prepared generous breakfasts daily. Waking up to the smell of waffles each morning was the happiest moment of my Iceland trip. Rúgbrauð was the best I’ve ever tasted. If you have time, play with the farm animals—especially the gentle puppy. If I hadn’t had to leave, I could have spent the whole day petting it.

Abba was a wonderful host and the setting was pretty and peaceful, with a very cozy room. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Iceland, the only one with fresh fried eggs, and the laundry service was very well done. Getting there required driving a gravel road for a few minutes, but on the plus side there’s a fantastic restaurant on that same gravel road. I would have liked a better desk setup; it was hard to find a spot to sit with my laptop.
