We were given room 313, which reeked from the start; only that evening did we discover the smell came from a dog‑soiled carpet, forcing us to sleep with the window open, and when we complained at reception the staff merely offered to spray the room and carpet, which didn’t help at all. The issue was raised with the manager at checkout and he was understanding, but after about two email exchanges where we were placated and offered compensation, we never received any reply or refund, even after following up; we’re very disappointed after paying $560 for two nights, especially since we chose the hotel because of its good and clean reviews.
