The place is very beautiful, the pool is clean, and the picturesque lake on the grounds is superb; the bungalows are comfortable and attractive, and we were impressed by the cleanliness and beauty of the hotel. A special thanks to the staff – you’re the best in Hikkaduwa! Everything was great.

The location is wonderful and the relaxation is exceptional; the fountain is very well maintained. We took a sunrise boat walk, an absolutely unforgettable experience, and I recommend it to everyone. The staff are also very friendly and available for anything. The room had a strong smell of petroleum, and it wasn’t cleaned daily.

The pool and staff are very nice. We bought prawns and fruit, and they helped us cook and cut them. The guy at the bar (Kalu?) is the nicest ever. Andrea, the owner, is also super nice and always checks that everything is fine. You can also take kayaks to the lake (we didn’t, but other guests enjoyed it). Everything was good; the only thing we didn’t like was the smell in the room (probably just our preference – other people would be fine – we just didn’t like the type of air freshener they use, but it’s a minor thing). All good!

Shiva Sunrise is a small paradise away from Hikkaduwa at Hikkaduwa Lake. The cottages each have their own roof terrace, are lovingly furnished, and feature a spectacular huge shower in almost open air. The huge pool invites you to swim and relax. It’s super good for unwinding. We liked everything.
