The stunning view and calm let you relax and really get away from everyday stress. We booked a gorgeous suite, very rustic but exactly what we wanted. The staff were friendly, the dinner food was very tasty. We might have liked a bit more variety on the evening menu, but we were only there for three nights. Unfortunately, the dishes that were on the menu (fish) were unavailable every day; just a note. The venison shank was especially delicious 😋. Still, I have to comment on cleanliness. Even though the suite is rustic, you expect clean rooms. What we experienced was borderline… in the bathroom it was partly so dirty it seemed older than a week. The floor was sticky… I’m not sure if they ever mop… disgusting. The toothbrush holder, still dirty from the previous guest, was on a covered tray. The crowning glory was the wooden bowl where the hairdryer lay… no words. Even in the bedroom, living area, and individual drawers, there were stains and more than just dust.

The lakeside location and the nature reserve offer plenty of hiking and cycling options. The room is spacious and inviting for a few days. The staff were friendly. The hotel’s restaurant is well‑visited and the area is highly touristy. The first breakfast selection was generous, but at the second breakfast, which we only started at 8:44 am, the variety was sparse and the replenishment didn’t work out.
