Cape Otway Lightstation, a preserved 1848 lighthouse on the Great Ocean Road, offers panoramic Southern Ocean views just 38 minutes from Apollo Bay. Guests stay in Lightkeeper’s B&B suites, the self‑contained Lighthouse Lodge, or the Lightstation Studio, all featuring fully equipped kitchens, wood‑fireplaces, bar fridges, microwaves, and toasters. Conservation works 2026‑27 may limit access.

Everything was perfect—the cottage, the view, all of it. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. The only downside was that the lighthouse was closed, but we knew that when we booked, so it didn’t really ruin our visit.

The view was amazing, the room small yet cozy. It would have been nicer if a few more kitchen items were available for self‑catering.

The Cape Otway Lighthouse is breathtaking, steeped in history and environmental significance—simply stunning and humbling. The service was outstanding from the moment I was welcomed by a man whose family actually kept the lighthouse, to the friendly lady who prepared fresh jam and cream scones with coffee beside the lodge in the morning.
