The pool was beautiful, and the breakfast and restaurant staff were charming, friendly, and genuinely went above and beyond; the young man at the bar was also fantastic, helping me keep my purse safe behind the bar, and the sunset view from my room was amazing. However, reception was a different story, with two staff members delivering the worst customer service I’ve seen; the hotel could use more people with the helpful attitude of the bar staff, as they seemed more concerned with their phones. The pool deck was in poor condition, with holes and loose boards, raising safety concerns, and the area felt like a youth club with blasting music that made the whole building vibrate; at 1:45 am I had to ask the staff to turn it off, but they never apologized or acknowledged the disturbance. The overall setting was disappointing for a luxury hotel, sharing its bar and restaurant with what looks like a coach stop and a garage right in front of the property; given the prices, I expected a much higher standard and a more luxurious environment.

Das Frühstück war okay, keine großartigen Highlights, aber pünktlich, und das Talar war echt Voll! Die Sauberkeit war jedoch völlig schlecht – das war das erste und zweite Problem – und es gab kein Internet außer im Barbereich.

It’s not a resort at all—it’s a roadside hotel that’s been photographed very nicely. The breakfast wasn’t very good, the rooms weren’t super clean, and the facilities are basically a bar, restaurant, tobacco shop, pizzeria, bakery, and gas station all rolled into one. It’s only useful if you’re on the road, and at 62 euros a night in Albania, it’s not worth it.
