“Schlechteste Unterkunft in Indonesien bisher”
The proximity to the airport, the quiet, the spacious rooms, parking, and working air conditioning were positives. However, even before the hotel, trash piled up outside, and in the lobby and hallways there were "things" scattered around. The room itself was dirty—hair everywhere—and the worst issue was massive damp and mold stains, likely from days of no ventilation or the AC off. The air felt uncomfortably stuffy and hard to sleep in. When we tried opening the window, the mechanism was broken, and the friendly staff only smiled and said "problem," so I improvised a fix with a toothbrush. Trash still surrounded the area, and it was unclear whether the air was better inside or outside. We’re not demanding, but we felt uneasy and considered leaving. The photos must have been taken right after a renovation; since then the place has been left to "grow in" as it were. The beds were large, the sheets were washed, but closer inspection revealed stains. We decided to stay for the five hours until our flight, but if we had stayed longer, we would have switched hotels. The price doesn’t promise much, but our hostel in Jogja cost the same and felt pure luxury.
