“Great stay but not worth the 5* pricetag”
Breakfast offered many choices despite chaotic seating, the beach was right in front of the hotel and easy to reach, paddle and kayak were free with no booking needed, the pool was clean and enjoyable, tennis courts and free bikes were available, and the bikes let us cycle into town on a new, safe path without shortages; the cleaning crew was always on call and kept the room spotless. However, I wouldn’t label it a 5‑star hotel because finishing in rooms and bathrooms was lacking, the property’s condition and extra free amenities were subpar, breakfast seating and service were chaotic, the on‑site restaurant was overpriced for Italy, portions were small, the food felt more Northern European than Italian, cycling to the nearby town offered better value and larger portions, the room AC smelled oddly at night, there were no hooks in the bathroom so it looked messy, staff seemed like untrained summer students, the drip coffee was terrible, and if you want an Americano you’d have to mix espresso with hot water yourself.
