The location was great and the staff were friendly, yet the room layout was far from ideal: the toilet and shower were behind separate doors as soon as you entered, and the bathroom sink was right at the entrance, offering little privacy. The room we stayed in was deep down a long hallway, making the walk to and from the elevator quite long.

The hotel sits in a great spot, rooms are tidy and fully equipped, and the staff are friendly. The room itself is a bit cramped, the ceiling is low, and the shower gel and shampoo smell off.

The W Toronto’s location is unbeatable, making it a perfect base for exploring the city, and the subway is right next to the building, which is a huge convenience. Everything you need—restaurants, shopping, attractions—is within easy reach. The staff were outstanding, friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure a great experience. The only downside was the very dark ambiance of the rooms; I prefer brighter, naturally lit interiors, so the overall design felt a little too dim for me. That said, I recognize this is a matter of personal preference rather than a shortcoming of the hotel, and many guests will likely appreciate the stylish, intimate atmosphere the W brand is known for.
