Amazing, friendly, and helpful host, great location, clean and spacious room, the best shower in Italy and the best coffee in Italy across the road. Loud aircon.

The spot was spot-on, tucked away from the usual tourist crowds yet still within arm’s reach of everything I wanted. Federico was super helpful, filling me in on the city, pointing out the must-see sights, recommending great eateries, and even suggesting events and exhibitions to catch. The room was spotless, snug, and stocked with every little thing I could need. I had a blast there, and when I head back to Lucca, I’ll definitely book again.

The location was fine. The host handed me a bathroom key that, to my horror, also opened my bedroom door. I later discovered the same key could unlock the neighboring empty room, which made me feel utterly unsafe and I couldn’t sleep that night. I had to scramble for other lodging the next day. The room itself was clean and well kept, but guest rooms need individual, secure locks. I expect the host to address this serious security and privacy problem right away.
