We could enjoy real coffee brewed from beans kept in a big bottle at the front desk, not the instant packets, and my coffee‑loving wife was thrilled; there were also shochu and snacks available. From the hotel window we could see the sea over the golf course’s green and watch the sunset. Although the hotel was far from Otaru in Zenkan, we drove to Cape Kamui and Mount Tengu, and despite the lack of a convenience store or supermarket nearby, we never felt inconvenienced. Coming from a love‑hotel experience on another site, I expected little staff interaction, so that was fine, but I was surprised there was no room key—once you leave you can’t get back in on your own. A key system like a normal hotel would be better. There was also no manual for the bubble‑jet, which caught me off guard. Being in a rural area like Zenkan, the older rooms and facilities are understandable. Overall, the cost‑performance was superb and erased the few drawbacks.
