Danhostel Helsingør overlooks the Øresund Strait, just 2 km from Kronborg Castle and Helsingør’s historic center. The hostel features a private beach, a fully equipped communal kitchen, and a lush garden. Guests may bring their own linens or rent them at reception. A free‑wifi computer station is available in the lobby.

A huge kitchen with all the gear, everything was there. The nearby beach was great for the kids. The bathroom wasn’t amazing, but at least it was private. More outlets would have been nice.

The location is undeniably enviable, just a few steps from the sea. It’s a bit far from the center, but easy to reach via a pleasant road and bike paths. Breakfast was superb. The lock on the access door to the annex wasn’t exactly reassuring.

The main building had a rear area overlooking the sea. The rooms outside the main structure would urgently need major maintenance.
