I stayed there again last year, choosing a familiar place to feel comfortable. I appreciate that they are flexible and easy to deal with. Honestly, the auto‑lock is a hassle every time; forgetting the PIN and being locked out is scary.

The location was great, and I could relax without worry; free laundry was a real help. The facilities were noticeably old, making the shower flow weak and uncomfortable, and the room lock was hard to engage, causing some trouble.

The place was only superficially clean, with dust, dirt, spiderwebs, mould on shower walls, dirty bathrooms, and ants in several spots. I never heard back from the owner/manager after sending multiple messages about our requested check‑in time; only automated replies arrived, yet someone did manage to greet us at the time I asked for. Shared amenities were problematic: only two showers for all guests, with glass doors that were not fully opaque, a curtain that could be pulled across the entrance, and a dusty rail marked “bathing in progress” that didn’t offer proper privacy. There were just two female and two male toilets for everyone; the urinals on both floors constantly smelled of urine. Toilet paper in the women’s bathroom ran out on day one and wasn’t replaced until the day before we left, even though at least six women were staying at the guesthouse. Only one of the two shower rooms had shower gel. The hot water system required turning it on before showering, and it seemed to heat all the water, so if left on for a long time—as many guests would—there was no cold water available.

The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding. Finding the location was tough; Google Maps directed us onto a rough mountain path. The reception was unkind, even though we had an agreement to arrive early; we were told to come back later. Soundproofing was terrible, so we didn’t sleep on the first night because of two young people in the adjacent room. The bathrooms were old.

Hair was found in the room and bathroom, and I was bitten by fleas and mites.
