The best room in the hotel – two large king beds with plenty of space, a coffee machine included, generous and enjoyable bistro meals, and close to town and attractions. Because the room is on an upper floor, some noise seeped in, but it was minor and stopped fairly early.

The room was clean and tidy. The noise from the cleaning crew and the half an hour of buzzing from the open poker machines at 2 am while they were emptied was ridiculous.

The staff were friendly, the bedroom was tidy and cozy, and the price was reasonable.

The exterior looked okay, but the room needed more care: dust on the bedside table, a cockroach on the bathroom floor, a dirty toilet bowl, a plug that didn’t fit the tub, no chair to sit on, loud noise (not from a band), alarms at 2 pm in the morning, uncomfortable pillows, black hair on the bed (not sure if the sheets had been changed), no water, and the amenities were very basic with no bar fridge. For $250 a night, you could have found a better place elsewhere.
