The property was clean and the building’s history was fascinating to learn; the on‑site restaurants were good but overpriced, especially the breakfast buffet. The resort sits about 30 minutes from anything, a fact I should’ve checked before booking; it’s marketed as a family resort, yet we were a couple on a mini getaway surrounded by families everywhere, except the adult‑only bar which was too small for the crowd.

A wedding had taken place earlier in the day, but that same wedding continued well into the night, allowing the wedding party to dominate outdoor spaces that created so much noise for those of us trying to sleep. From midnight to near 1 o’clock in the morning, the noise permeated our room. My husband and I, on separate calls, had to complain about the noise, which was disappointing since we had to make more than one phone call. The attendant had the audacity to argue about our complaint, but the next morning when we checked out early, leaving with a whole day left to our reservation, they decided to reimburse us for it. I doubt we will be back, though it has always been our plan previously to revisit each year

Breakfast and Room were very good. We had no issues with them. We like the room and the privacy . The room attendants were prompt and did a good job early in the day. The food in the main dining room was subpar and we were very disappointed with that. For the quality and the preparation, it was significantly overpriced. The service in the main dining room was also slow and the servers went a little too far in terms of talking to us
