The location is good and the price is moderate. The only downside is that free sauna and extras weren’t offered, unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at, but it’s a minor point.

The location is very central and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very spacious, but we knew there were no windows and still didn’t expect the musty smell; everything felt damp inside. We stayed in two rooms, one with a comfortable bed and the other with a very hard one.

The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the kitchen staff are also fantastic. The mold smell from the air‑cons in the rooms is terrible – floor 6 was this time. Mold formed on my computer bag, travel bag and even on my wallet in the safe. The airflow in the room was poor; they need a fan. My air‑con was set on high fan and at 25. The air‑con system needs a professional cleaning including the ducts and filters. Fans in the room would stop mold issues but it would not fix the smell from the mold in the air‑cons. There are no specials for Christmas and January, so unfortunately I will stay elsewhere; I have stayed here more than 5 times.

We booked a family room that consisted of two adjoining rooms, one with a full‑sized bed and the other with a king‑sized bed. It had no windows, which was unusual but acceptable. The room was generally clean and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was a good size, especially the sink and mirror area. The rooftop pool is small but sufficient for a soak after a hot day of walking around District One; we never used the pool or pool bar because of our schedule and the rainy season. Breakfast was a decent mix of western and Vietnamese food with an egg/Pho station. The room could use more lighting and electrical outlets; one bedroom had zero accessible outlets unless we unplugged the room refrigerator.
