Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Yunzhi Hotel

It’s a standard “just to stay” hotel with convenient airport transfer; the breakfast didn’t impress because of the early check‑out, but the staff are quick and efficient. The transfer from Terminal 2 first stops at Terminal 3 before heading to the hotel, making the drive over 20 minutes; on the way back it goes from the hotel to Terminal 2 then to Terminal 3—plan your time accordingly. Within 100 m of the dining area there’s only KFC, and half the menu was unavailable, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

The proximity to the airport is great and the staff are very responsive, but the sound insulation is weak and you can hear a lot from the airport. The automatic system is confusing: when someone takes a shower the music starts playing throughout the room, which is loud and uncomfortable for anyone who wants to sleep or relax.

I really liked how spacious and clean the rooms were; the hotel staff—especially the reception team—were all friendly and welcoming, and the free shuttle bus was incredibly useful.

“Leider sehr enttäuschend für den Auftritt nach außen”

The room was large and the layout was good; breakfast was okay. The staff spoke no English, the room was very run down, and the carpet had many stains. The shower smelled strong, the air‑conditioner was off, so the room hit 30 °C and the air‑conditioner didn’t cool it; it was 26 °C in the morning.
