“The worst scam I've ever seen, avoid like the plague!”
Nothing, absolute disaster. Everything was terrible: floors were dirty, flies everywhere, the lock on the door was a small padlock that I could break with a twig, rude staff, extremely rude manager, backroom made of sharp rocks, rooms had holes that let insects in and wind in, a small AC unit that didn’t help air‑condition the already poorly insulated shack, roof made of hay, no room service, no landlines to contact staff or reception, the road inside the property was gravel, parking with your sedan might damage it, parking spots looked like graves missing a tombstone, restaurant and check‑in, check‑out, reception area was outdoors, no indoors at all, and with the wind a paper or a plate would fly anyway. It was overpriced as hell, all the activities listed were also overpriced, a long drive from anything like a restaurant or a beach or civilization in general. The restaurant had a menu but didn’t have items for it; I had a 1‑year‑old child who was hungry and when I asked the staff about lunch they said we could make chicken nuggets, a sandwich, fries, and cold juice. When I asked where the chef was, they said he wasn’t there, which told me that the same guy who checks people in, carries luggage, is the same person who cooks the frozen nuggets and frozen fries… I demanded a refund and they refused; I didn’t stay for 15 minutes. I asked to talk to a manager, they gave me the phone and the manager said no refunds, and when I threatened to contact consumer protection services he said do what you please, nobody cares. That’s absolutely unacceptable; I partially blame the booking platform for listing this property. Worst place ever, never recommended, I wish they closed because they have been scamming people left and right, the worst property in Oman.
