They weren’t far from the center—just a 15‑minute walk—and the fridge and kitchen were good; Ivan, the owner, was very sociable and even picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, while Paty, a Rapanui, was chatty in her own way. However, there were cheap bugs inside the house; one of the bedrooms (the one next to the bathroom) had a wall completely rotting with visible moisture, the bathroom flooded with insects every morning, and the humidity was terrible; at midnight we turned on the kitchen light and bugs were everywhere on the table and sink.
