“Fantastischer Aufenthalt in Songju”
After reading other reviews, we had modest expectations. They were exceeded when we got a room with a great view of the forest, a large terrace, a huge room and bathroom—all clean and tidy.

This was my second stay at the place, and the quality remained identical. I recommend it for the hotel’s quality, its environment, and the Korean baths.

The hotel sits right at the entrance to the national park, which is super convenient, and waking up to the mountain view from the window was gorgeous. Having separate toilet and shower was handy for our family trip. The front‑desk staff were friendly, and our family decided to skip going elsewhere next time and just stroll around the hotel and its surroundings. Overall it was excellent; the only flaw was a red spot on a bathroom towel that seemed like leftover soup that hadn’t been rinsed off.

There wasn’t much to like. The room was dirty, old, and smelled strongly; there were even bugs, suggesting the cleaning wasn’t done properly.

The iconic hotel offers a lovely view and all the comforts you’d expect—sauna, shop, terrace, restaurant—and the room was clean. The décor is a bit kitschy, which we found amusing, and it’s right next to Gayasan National Park with two hiking trails (Manmulsang trail). The bathroom felt a little old‑fashioned but worked fine.
