The location is convincing. The beds are extremely hard, breakfast wasn’t available, and the staff were never around.

“Great choice and half hour from beach”

The place is very clean and in great shape, almost brand new though it isn’t. Breakfast included hot options and meat, and it was free with the room. There’s an outdoor pool hidden from the highway that overlooks farmland, and restaurants are right in the same parking lot. Nothing to add.

“Microtel truly means micro. Micro for staffing, bedding, sound proofing…”

The spot was fine for what we needed, but the staff were terribly understaffed; people walking by seemed either unable or unwilling to help, including the manager and a female cleaner. We waited more than 30 minutes for our room to be ready even though we had pre‑checked in with our arrival time. We booked a first‑floor room but were moved to the second floor without explanation, which was a major hassle. The pool area was underwhelming, lacking shade, and we could hear everything from the floor above late at night. The name Microtel suggests no thick comforter to keep warm or sound‑proof flooring and ceilings to block neighbor noise.
