The spot sits in a growing area, so it’s mostly locals, no tourists, and feels really safe. The owner was amazing; we’d book again just because of how welcome we felt, and we actually booked twice. If I ever return to Cape Verde, I’ll book his place again. I can’t complain because it was exactly what I expected—plain, no frills, no luxuries, just honest for the price. We did stay one night in the apartment and that was luxurious.
