“Teleurstellend- nieuwe eigenaars sinds april 26 - beoordeling van voor april 26 niet meer ingevuld!”
There was a large living room with a library of Dutch‑language books. The new owners changed the original hotel concept of a house‑prepared three‑course menu into a bed‑and‑breakfast formula. There are no restaurants nearby. We chose this hotel because of the glowing reviews of the former owners’ service, but all the old facilities were gone: no dinner, no bicycles, a sauna but no hot tub… and this for 670 euros for four nights. We felt robbed. We received the largest room as compensation, but otherwise there was no occupancy… the soul of Hotel Stilleben from the former owners is gone… very sad.
“En lugn oas i mycket vacker miljö, där värdparet ser till att man som gäst trivs.”
Calm and beautiful surroundings. Spacious rooms with renovated bathrooms. It was nice to have access to the kitchen, as we brought our own food for the evening. The breakfast was pleasant, served personally by the hosts. Overall a very positive stay for those who want to get away from the city into the countryside with lovely scenery and the option to swim nearby.
The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the place itself is pretty and very pleasant to live in. I’ll try to return next summer for more than one night. Åmot is a small, peaceful village.
Nice view from the room. We chose this hotel because it had received fantastic reviews for the food, among other things. It turned out that the owner had changed since then. It’s fine as basic accommodation but became quite expensive when it didn’t live up to its former merits. No Swedish‑speaking staff.
“Ett ställe att övernatta på”
Long distance. Long walk to a food place, no restaurant on the hotel. Breakfast was not good.
