Iglu Camp Fachbach offers family rooms with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, terraces, dining areas, and seating space, complemented by outdoor furniture. The location of the igloo was very nice, and you can do a lot in Fachbach and the surrounding area. The fridge and freezer were heavily frozen and the temperature couldn’t be set properly, the mattress was very yellowed, and the kitchen counter was damaged.

The kitchen was great and the shower was fine, but the bathroom sink was too small to use, the adult bed was too short and narrow for two people, there was a hole in the mattress and the space felt claustrophobic. The so‑called children's beds were just cushions, and my girlfriend had to buy an air mattress at Jysk. So it’s too small for two adults and not recommended for families. The campsite is mainly for older people, the owner was very unpleasant and didn’t accommodate the mattress issue. We had to deal with it. The campsite is better for a layover. When it gets warmer than 20 °C the hut becomes unbearably hot and can’t be cooled.

The accommodation was set up with a lot of love to detail, but unfortunately there was no air conditioning. When the outside temperature exceeded 30 °C the igloo got very hot.

The igloos are very nice and perfect for two people. From the fridge to the TV everything you need is there, the bed is comfortable, the shower is good, and in the evenings you can walk along the Lahn. We were lucky with the weather: it was wonderfully sunny, but that made the igloo unbearably hot. An air conditioner or at least a fan would have been great. Because of the heat we opened all the windows at night and missed a fly screen. As someone who is sensitive to everything that crawls and flies, I’m not a big fan of mosquitoes and was quite bitten. Also wasps nested in the wooden cladding. Not catastrophic overall, but without a fly screen they get in through the open windows.

The igloo was very cozy, the layout was good, and everything needed was there. The freezer compartment in the fridge didn’t close properly, but it still worked.
