“Extremely cramped rooms — not suitable for everyone”
The location was good and the evening and night staff were friendly. I booked in August, and a week before my check‑in I got a WhatsApp message offering online check‑in, which I declined because I didn’t trust the process. On the day I was on my way, I received a message saying there was a problem and my reservation was being transferred to another hotel in the same chain, even though I had already paid in full. I was shocked, replied that I didn’t agree, and they immediately said it was fine and that I could still go to the original hotel. When I arrived, the receptionist was there and very helpful. She guided me through the self‑check‑in, the only way to check in at this property. Entering the room, I was shocked: the photos and room details had not prepared me for how tiny it was. There was no space for suitcases or bags, so everything had to be left on the floor. Whenever my husband needed to get out of bed, I had to move into the bathroom to make room for him. The bathroom itself was fine, and the shower had hot water with a consistent temperature. However, you have to be careful when using the sink to brush your teeth, otherwise water ends up on the floor. There are no signs or options to request that housekeeping skip your room; staff enter whether you want them to or not. On the first day, housekeeping came in and took away the towels but did not replace all of them, so I had to go to reception to ask for the missing ones. They swept the floor but did not empty the rubbish bin. The room has poor sound insulation. Whenever someone in another room uses the bathroom, you can hear the plumbing. This place is absolutely unsuitable for a long stay. By the third night, I was already fed up with how cramped the room was.
