“Rip off.”
I emailed Skylaranna on 9/22/26 and never heard back, so I’m writing this instead. The first problem was that the booking description was misleading; it didn’t accurately show that we would be staying behind and below the main cabins, not in the front or main building as advertised. It also wasn’t mentioned that there would be no closet, so we had to hang our clothes on a hook by the door. Upon entering the unit, a distinct odor that turned out to be rabbit/ferret bedding lingered throughout our stay and even stuck to some clothes. The room was riddled with issues: rust on the shower head, hair in the towels, hair in the shower, hair on the pillows, mildew on the shower curtain, mold in the coffee pot, mold in the AC unit, stains on the bedding, and spots on the walls indicating pest extermination. One light was hanging out of the socket in the ceiling the entire time, blinking uncontrollably and unusable. Paint was peeling, and my partner remarked it “looks like a group of frat boys stayed here and destroyed the place.” A dog barked nonstop all night on our last night; it was in the very first building and tied up outside. Children ran around on top of us at dawn every day, so there was no soundproofing, and the overhead plane traffic sounded like a plane scraping the building every 10 minutes during take‑off or landing. Hightide Grill was nice, but the room was super overcharged.
