“It could have been nice. But ended up a near disaster”

The hotel is well located in Greenport with easy access to Shelter Island, the lobby was clean, and the property looked well cared for, but even though we had a confirmation and showed it to the desk attendant, he told us there were no rooms and no availability; we were staying for 2 nights, had been booked for 9 months (Big Wedding), and I had contacted them earlier in the week about parking and looking forward to our upcoming stay; they booked us for 4 nights, three months out; NO HONORING OUR BOOKING, NO AVAILABILITY, and NO HELP with alternative options.

“Rooms would have been great without air freshener”

It’s in a great location, but the hotel uses a lot of fragrance in its rooms, sheets, towels, etc., and the strong air freshener and chemical smells made it hard to sleep.

The spot was spot on, spotlessly clean, and the staff were welcoming.
