Carol is an excellent host, breakfast was stunning. We felt really comfortable and at ease using the lounge area available to relax and have a night cap at the end of the day. We had everything needed, if we return to the area we would definitely look to stay there again, thank you x. Absolutely nothing !

The location is great and very relaxing, Clare was an amazing host, and breakfast was very nice; I would have liked an en-suite but otherwise The Retreat is faultless.

Clare replied promptly to every query, the accommodation was beautifully presented and clean, the bed was very comfortable, and breakfast was a real treat with locally sourced ingredients—overall a thoroughly relaxing retreat.

The property and surroundings are beautiful and easy to reach, Claire was easy to communicate with and very helpful; I thought I’d booked an ensuite but had to share a bathroom, and breakfast was a bit haphazard though it was very early in the morning.
