Excellent, friendly staff, close to the bus stop, harbor, restaurants, and nice coffee spots.

The elevator is too cramped when you have luggage from the garage, and the entrance and exit doors are inconvenient; the bathroom is fine but could use more light, shelves, or a cabinet for toiletries.

“Give this hotel a miss especially until construction has finished”

The room was a decent size with a small balcony that had a chair and table, but it faced the street and two big construction sites opposite the hotel ran from 8 am to 6 pm, creating a lot of noise and dust; the afternoon reception guy was very helpful. The carpets were old, stained, and smelly, and when the door was shut the room smelled like dirty socks and dust; the Italian girl at reception was unhelpful and unprofessional, struggled to locate the hotel on a town map, refused to consider that my room might be ready before 3 pm, and didn’t check with housekeeping; during breakfast I’d suggest going up the road to a cheaper, better café, yet she demanded payment immediately instead of at checkout so she could close the books, showing no sense of customer service.
