The breakfast was varied and tasty, and the parking facilities were excellent; the evening service could have been better if a welcome beer had been added.

I’ll be back to Shizuoka, but I’ll stay at Olean again. Olean’s breakfast is by far the best, with a wide variety that changes slightly each day; the food was fresh and delicious, so I almost missed it on the last day because of the flight time. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the soft cotton of the white pajamas made my time in bed happy. There’s a free drink bar on the second floor, a large bathhouse and a small open-air pool on the 14th floor (the ceiling is open). Usually, with a two-night stay, towels might run low, but at Olean they refill them daily and clean the room each day, so I always found a clean room after a day’s work. There’s a service that serves salad and curry at 5:30 pm, so I didn’t have to wander around the restaurant at dinner. The 14th floor has a coin laundry, and while waiting I could enjoy a beer from the vending machine in front, making for a relaxed time. Thanks to other reviews I found a good hotel, so I’m grateful to leave this review. Have a great trip! The only drawback was the lack of a sink or terrace in the room; nothing else was inconvenient. The location is good and close to Shizuoka Station, but you still have to walk 8–9 minutes, so if you’re elderly or have a lot of luggage, it’s better to take a taxi from the station.
