They were flexible about keeping our kids in the same room instead of separating us, which was very accommodating. It was clear they’ve worked hard to keep the place clean and updated, given the “mom and pop” budget they likely have. Some street noise came from the front of the building in the evenings and mornings, and there were lights at night. The curtains were decent, but we’d have preferred a back‑room and were told “no” when we asked.

The sheets were clean, yet brown liquid leaked from the bathroom ceiling onto the toilet and into the shower, stained blankets and pillows were full of cigarette burn holes, the upstairs floor creaked, cockroaches were outside, the mattress felt like a billboard, toiletries were only replaced when requested at the front desk, the listing was unclear or inaccurate, drug‑addicts roamed the grounds (one even walked into my room when we left the door open for a few minutes), wall outlets were very loose, the TV remote batteries were dead, the sink was cracked, a pipe underneath ran through a hole in the wall, and the AC unit was damaged and barely worked.

The blanket had many burn holes, the sheets were stained, there appeared to be bed bugs under the sheets, and the property was in poor repair.
