The bedding was comfortable, but the room felt like a tourist trap. The space isn’t lacking, yet everything is poorly utilized: the bed is really small for the room size, a larger bed would have fit easily. There’s no proper table, just a useless mini coffee table. The flat‑screen TV looks nice, but the cables hang along the wall, giving a neglected feel for a supposedly upscale hotel. If you like “TV cables dangling” décor, you’ll be served! The view is the parking lot, even though the hotel was almost empty in low season—nothing stopped offering a room on the opposite side. The bathroom is small and poorly maintained, with a shower wall that doesn’t reach the bottom. Cleanliness is lacking: there were hairs stuck to the tiles! Another issue is the lighting: no ceiling light above the bed, only two distant lamps, making it impossible to read at night. And to top it all, the sound insulation is bad: you can distinctly hear neighbors upstairs and everything in the corridors. The reception isn’t open 24/7, but no one told you that upon arrival. On the departure morning, you can’t find out how to return the key—it's closed, and no one explained where to leave it or how to proceed. The paid sauna is hard to swallow in Finland, and then there’s the sauna, extra (10 €), with no free slot available. In a country where the sauna is a staple in almost every hotel, charging separately in an establishment that claims to be upscale is quite inflated. In short, a hotel in a station that pretends to be upscale but actually neglects finishes, customer information, and multiplies small annoyances. For the price and positioning advertised, you’re entitled to expect better. Frankly, very disappointing.

The location was fine, close to our party venue, but the bathtub faucet was broken and the soap dish in the shower was also broken.

The location was okay, but the room was small, had no air conditioning, no balcony, no hair dryer, no storage space, and the blackout curtains were just paper.

The breakfast was pre‑paid but the original caterer went bankrupt, so we didn't get any; a new caterer arrived, did their best, and thankfully managed to serve food to everyone. The hotel itself was a mess – the roof was literally on top of the ceiling, there was no ventilation in the room, the pillows were awful, and the ventilation system didn't work, so I had to keep the window open to hear all the church bells outside. It's a shame that such a nice place ended up in this condition.
