“Great location, very disappointing experience”
The location is the redeeming quality, super easy to reach all the main tourist spots. One young lady (whose name I didn’t catch) was very nice. Our street‑facing room was very quiet. The room itself was very bleak, with two single beds pushed together, creating an uncomfortable wedge in the middle so that husband and I couldn’t get close at night. The bathroom smelled badly of sewer, the ceiling by the window had spider webs and actual spiders. Cleaning was non‑existent; we had to ask after the third day for clean towels, and that was basically all they did, plus they emptied the bathroom garbage. Beds were never made, towels had holes, one day we only received two bath towels and no hand towel or bath mat. Glasses were in the room; we washed them before use and they were never replaced. We had company over and used six glasses; they took away four, leaving two dirty ones behind, so again not replaced. General client care was minimal, but it was a cheaper hotel. Still, basic cleaning and room turnover is a must. The shower head wasn’t attached to the wall, so we had to improvise a holder with a hair tie just to shower properly. No elevator, but we knew that, no big deal. Breakfast was meh, overcooked hard‑boiled eggs, not much variety day to day. Coffee was instant but good. So if you’re okay with asking for towels every day and washing your own glassware in the bathroom sink with hand soap, the place is cheap and you’ll get everywhere quickly; otherwise, find another place to stay.
