“Good value for money”

The venue is a small pub with a few rooms in a separate upstairs section. I booked last minute after a nearby hotel let me down. It isn’t the type of accommodation I’d normally pick, but it was clean, well maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Traveling alone, I don’t appreciate a separate section without overnight staff. I tried calling in the morning because I couldn’t locate the breakfast entrance (a back entrance to the pub on the opposite side), but received no reply; it would have helped to be informed about this. A lovely chap cooked the breakfast, but it was served in the pub.

The staff were friendly, the place was busy but welcoming. Nothing else.

It’s close to town, but the bed was very uncomfortable and there was mould on the shower ceiling.

I loved the spot, the staff were super friendly, and the room was pretty clean – definitely coming back.

The host was lovely, very friendly and chatty. The location is great – only a couple of minutes’ walk to the high street. The rooms were clean, spacious, with comfortable beds and hot showers.
