The hotel is old but very well maintained, immaculately clean, with good service and rooms that meet a traveler’s basic needs. Breakfast offers coffee, oatmeal, and microwavable sandwiches, which was fun for the kids, though it’s not a great breakfast. I checked in after midnight, there was no parking available, and the next morning I received an insulting note joking that I parked badly, even though my car had a trailer attached and there was space.

The bed was comfortable, but breakfast was not good. Everything felt old, and the manager on duty wasn’t very friendly.

The hotel is in a convenient spot for visiting the Great Sand Dunes and close to the small center of Alamosa where you can find a few restaurants for dinner. Parking is spacious and free, Wi‑Fi is free and very fast, and the room is essential, equipped with a fridge, TV, and microwave. The bed is comfortable and roomy. The hotel is very dated in décor, the wall‑mounted air conditioner is noisy, and when you enter the room you’re immediately faced with the sink, with no door separating the entrance from the bathroom (the door only separates the toilet and shower from the rest of the room). The windows were dirty, and when I opened them I found dead wasps in the guides, indicating that deep cleaning isn’t done. The breakfast is definitely worth revisiting – few items and low quality, better to eat elsewhere.

The staff were absolutely friendly and welcoming, yet the cleanliness fell short of my standards and the location felt a bit off.
