The hotel is incredible, nothing to add.

The views and beds were nice, yet the cleaning crew was awful, check‑in was delayed, and we rarely got coffee, tea, or water when we asked; we were two people but they only kept offering one set, the bathroom had dirty earbuds upon arrival, and the worst part was that parking was charged at the hotel.

The room was spacious, close to Selwo Aventura (10 minutes by car), and the chef and waiters were friendly; the pool was pretty and everything was clean. However, the staff showed no sensitivity toward a couple with a baby. I had told them we’d arrive between 14:00 and 15:00, and they said they’d keep it in mind. We got there around 14:40 and they told us the room was still pending, that we could go to the pool or leave our bags there. I said no, because we’d specified the arrival time well in advance to accommodate the baby’s nap. We waited in reception while the child cried because he couldn’t sleep, and we were exhausted with luggage after the whole trip. Other families were handed their keys immediately. Finally, around 15:15 we received the keys. To my surprise, the crib we’d also requested wasn’t in the room. I called reception and they said they only bring it in the afternoons. Honestly, traveling with a baby is hard; we just wanted the hotel to secure the baby’s naps and let us rest in the evenings and nights. That’s why we chose the Barceló chain for its good reputation. It couldn’t have been that way. I don’t understand why a room would be delayed compared to others and still not have the crib set up. The photos show a mini‑club, but they told us it’s only in summer. There was nothing for kids—no drawings on the walls, no small table, nothing like the spacious area around the pool. Before dinner we saw many families with kids at tables without knowing where to go. I missed a dedicated kids’ area. The buffet quality was mediocre; the meat was tough, and the variety of dishes was limited. For the price of the room there, it didn’t live up to expectations.
