It was exactly what we were looking for—a place to sleep very well. It wasn’t expensive, which mattered because we needed something affordable for six nights.

The location was acceptable and the staff helpful. The construction noise, the old furniture, the stains, the bugs, and the need for maintenance were all issues. We were a family of five and were given two rooms, one on each floor.

The hotel staff were very kind and helped us whenever needed; they cleaned the room on request. Maafushi is a development area with many new hotels under construction, so there’s a lot of noise. Maafushi View is one of the oldest hotels, so don’t expect a modern, well-equipped place; it’s more of a charming, rustic Indian cottage with a good bed, a simple bathroom, a small fridge—enough for a pleasant holiday. The shop is 5 m away, the restaurant 50 m, the hospital 100 m, and the ATM 100 m (don’t use it, bring USD cash). This hotel isn’t for people with high expectations; it feels like grandma’s cottage on a dusty street with a friendly garden. Some rooms lack windows but have garden access, and there’s daytime noise. The bikini beach is a 6–8 minute walk from the hotel.

The location was great, Mafushi is tiny so you’re always close to everything. The staff were very attentive! The place is old and plain. There are better hotels for the same price or less.
