It’s right next to the mountain, plenty of bathrooms, and the onsen is great after a cold day. There are drying rooms for snow gear, a washing machine for a small fee, and the owner is always nearby to help out. The town’s roads are usually cleared after snow, so walking around is easy. Breakfast and dinner are served at fixed times, the table settings are clear, and everything is ready when you arrive. The downside is you have to keep quiet because neighbors are close, and if your schedule changes you might miss the set meal times.

Everything was spot on – exactly what we needed after a long hike. We arrived at 5 pm, starving, and they were flexible enough to serve dinner. The rooms were cosy, authentic, and comfortable, simple but good. The onsen was peaceful, and the food was amazing: fish, sushi, hotpot, steak, and soba noodles for about 20 € per person. We slept great, and when we left the next morning they arranged a taxi for us. Nothing to complain about.

A wonderful traditional hotel with its own onsen. Quiet location, friendly host, rooms are large and comfortable. Soft futons give a good sleep. We ate well (and plenty) at the in‑house restaurant and had breakfast the next morning. Prices are fair.
