The room was fine by Indian standards and even had a balcony; I had interesting chats in the evenings with some roommates. I kept dealing with insects all the time – the management might not be able to fix it – there were puddles and little ponds all around after the rainy season, not mosquitoes but tiny bugs that landed on the bed everywhere. The electric mosquito repeller helped a bit but didn’t solve the issue. A request for an early departure went unanswered until the day of departure when someone finally handled it.

Every hotel staff member was very polite and offered immediate help. They were keenly and methodically applying what they had learned to give guests the best satisfaction. I even spotted a notebook in the hotel that detailed these points and was pleased to see them actively implementing them. For example, they provided free bottles of chilled branded water. When the kettle cord was too short to reach the table from the socket, they brought books to raise the kettle’s height. All of this was done almost instantly. They’re improvising, and I wish them great success. Fix the exhaust, provide a tissue paper box, give a good kettle, and clean the carpet.

Everything! The only downside was the lack of an elevator.

The hotel sits right next to Nalanda Mahavira and Rajgir, making it super convenient. The staff really made the stay memorable—Professor Shrikant Singh, who teaches at nearby Nava Nalanda University, knows the area inside out, and his team, including Mr. Rakesh Kumar and Mr. Satyam Kumar, were friendly and helpful. They even arranged auto and taxi rides before I arrived. I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore the original Nalanda Mahavira and Rajgir sites.
