“We booked a suite with a terrace – this was not what we were offered”

Title: A major discrepancy between what we booked and what we were offered Extremely disappointing experience. We had booked a suite with a terrace, but on arrival we were shown a room that, in our view, did not correspond to what we had booked. The room was dark, stuffy and rather claustrophobic. More importantly, the terrace was not directly connected to the room. To reach the outside area, we had to use a narrow and uncomfortable staircase and pass through another room on the floor below. This was particularly unsuitable for us given our age. When booking a “suite with terrace”, we reasonably expected a suite with a terrace that could be accessed directly and conveniently from the accommodation. What we were shown was a substantially different arrangement. We therefore did not check in, not because we simply wanted to cancel a non-refundable reservation, but because the accommodation offered to us did not correspond to the accommodation we had booked. We immediately explained the situation to the property and to and provided photographs documenting what we had been shown. We then tried to reach a reasonable solution and requested at least a partial refund. Unfortunately, Lucia refused to address the actual issue — the discrepancy between the accommodation booked and the accommodation offered — and instead relied solely on the cancellation conditions. There was no willingness to find a compromise or offer even a partial refund. The entire amount was ultimately retained, despite the fact that we did not accept or use the room. This was particularly disappointing because we were not simply trying to cancel our stay. We were raising a genuine concern that the accommodation offered did not match what we had booked. We fully understand that other guests may have had positive experiences here. Our experience was very different

“Tolles Erlebnis in einer schönen Lokation mit guten Gastgebern”

Das Schloss Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Schlossherr, er war sehr hilfsbereit, trotz Sprachbarriere. Die Zufahrt ist einwenig gewohnungsbedürftig. Ausgewaschene Schotterstrasse. ( Motorrad, Velo)

“Einmalig!”

Es war einfach nur großartig. Eine mittelalterliche Burg, alle Gebäude und Zimmer alt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Tolles Frühstück und Abendessen auf der herrlichen Terrasse mit wunderbarem Blick. Ein schöner Pool für ganz heiße Tage. Das Personal ist großartig, hilfsbereit und sehr aufmerksam

Il borgo e’ veramente bello. La piscina è troppo piccola per la quantità degli ospiti. Non abbiamo potuto usarla né la sera prima, né la mattina dopo. Non c’erano lettini liberi e neanche lo spazio fisico in piscina. La cena e’ solo a base di antipasti, buoni niente da dire, ma il prezzo per me era eccessivo per il servizio offerto
