The garden was fine and the room was clean. We had asked to arrive between 8–9 pm, but after a 10‑hour trip we only got in at 10 pm. When we called to let the guesthouse know, the owner was rude on the phone and insisted we’d confirmed an 8 pm arrival instead of 10 pm. We still apologized to the husband upon arrival, knowing it was late and they were already sleeping. What disappointed us was the wife’s tone when questioning our late arrival; after such a long trip, being spoken to that way felt disrespectful. The next morning we weren’t served breakfast, even though the website says breakfast is included. We were then told it needed to be booked separately, which was never mentioned before. The bed was in poor condition and needs replacement. I had also asked for an iron, which was approved, but no iron was provided. Overall, given the service, attitude, and room condition, this guesthouse doesn’t justify the high price.
